Carpet Cleaning Tips
Remember that the best cleaning tip is Prevention. If you can avoid staining the carpet, it would keep its original color and texture longer. Have a door mat and ask people to clean their shoes before entering home and walking on a carpet. Have them take off their shoes altogether (if customary), and be quick to remove stains soon after you spot them.
If a stain did happen, treat it as soon as possible. Do not beat too hard on the carpet as it may drive the stain deeper into the fabric and actually weaken it. A lot times stains that are caused by liquids can be washed with water. Off the self carpet cleaning solutions are usually good in taking them out, especially if used very soon after the stain has occurred.
For stubborn stains, usually a deep cleaning is needed. Again, quick action would help restore the carpet to its prior condition. Deep cleaning is normally performed by a professional carpet cleaning company, or using deep cleaning machine that are purchased for domestic use.
When using cleaning materials, it is better to not use strong ones. Mild detergent solutions and shampoos used with care will most likely do the job of carpet cleaning. For stubborn stains, either use the specific materials or book a professional firm.
